Voices of the Collection

Explore the history of Narrow Gauge Railways through audio

Welcome to our Audio Tour!

Welcome to the Narrow Gauge Railway Museum’s “Voices of the collection” accessible audio trail.

On this interpretive journey, we’ll explore the diverse spectrum of culture, people and of course railways that made up the narrow gauge; telling these stories through the artifacts we have here in the museum. There are 12 stops for you to discover, each laid out in a similar manner to this one. We aim to make this experience as accessible to everyone as possible, and to that end, we have endeavored to provide as many language translations as possible for the trail, which you device should handle for you, and for those who may need to interpret this content visually, or cannot utilize the QR codes, there is a transcript available of all the audio points and the audio points themselves via the museum website at ngrm.org.uk/audiotrail.
